New Features

 

WhatsApp Templates Retrieval API

You can now retrieve approved WhatsApp templates directly using an API.

This removes the need to check templates in Meta or within Cirrus Digital manually. Your systems can pull the latest approved templates automatically and use them in workflows or outbound messaging.

This is especially useful if you run automated notifications or campaigns and need to ensure templates are always current and compliant.

Audience Management APIs

You can now manage audiences through a set of dedicated APIs.

This includes:

  • Creating new audiences from uploaded data
  • Updating existing audiences
  • Retrieving audience lists

This gives developers more control and removes manual steps when managing large or frequently changing datasets.

It also helps keep targeting accurate across campaigns and automated journeys.

Intent Detection in Ask Step

Flows can now detect customer intent during an Ask step, not just in standard message steps.

This means the system can understand what the customer is trying to do while collecting information. You no longer need to wait for a free text response later in the flow.

The result is:

  • Faster routing
  • More relevant responses
  • Less back and forth for the customer

Aggregated AI Actions Report

You can now download a monthly report showing how AI features are being used.

From Settings, go to Era AI, choose a month, and download the report.

This gives you a clear view of:

  • AI usage trends
  • Feature adoption
  • Overall impact over time

It is a simple way to track value and spot gaps or opportunities.

Enhancements

 

Bypassing Chat Welcome

You can now skip the chat welcome step when starting a conversation.

This is useful when a customer has already completed identification or pre-chat steps in another channel.

Instead of repeating questions, the conversation starts immediately. This reduces friction and shortens handling time.

UTC Time Zone Format for APIs

You can now standardise all API timestamps using UTC format.

When enabled, all date and time values include the UTC indicator. This removes ambiguity when working across regions or systems.

It helps developers avoid time conversion issues and keeps integrations consistent.

Improved Website Crawling

You now have more control over how websites are crawled for knowledge content.

You can choose between:

  • Standard crawling for content available on page load
  • Dynamic crawling for content that loads after interaction

This improves how accurately content is captured, especially for modern websites that rely on dynamic loading.

Text Free Messages in Chat

You can now prevent customers from entering free text in chat.

Instead, they must use buttons or quick reply options.

This helps when you need:

  • Structured conversations
  • Controlled inputs
  • Stronger data security

To enable this, go to Settings, then Chat, then Privacy and Security, and turn on Block Free Text Input.
