Ad Hoc Messages Module Overview

The Ad Hoc Messages Module allows configurable prompts to be inserted into the call flow.

Functionality

  • Prompts can be assigned via the Edit link to another module.
  • After playing a prompt, the system pauses the call for the configured delay.
  • If the caller hangs up during the delay, the IVR call is marked as abandoned in the Voice Calls Analysis Report.

Configuration in the Supervisor

✔ Enable/disable the Ad Hoc Message.
✔ Define up to three prompts (with a radio button to select the active one).
✔ Set a start and end date/time for the message.

Creating a New Ad Hoc Message

1. Access Ad Hoc Messages

  • In the Explorer Pane, navigate to Phone & Text > Ad Hoc Messages.
  • A list of existing Ad Hoc Messages is displayed.

2. Add and Configure a New Ad Hoc Message

Click Add to create a new Ad Hoc Message.

Configure the following settings:

  • Name – Assign a logical name to the message.
  • Timeout (seconds) – Defines the delay period before continuing with the call flow.
  • Level – Used for custom reporting only.
